RULES & REGULATIONS ABOUTH STAND UP TITLE FIGHTS

Fighters who are officialy ranked by independent computerised world WIPU KOTR rankings can fight thru single fight or thru 4 or 8 man tournaments for SUPER WORLD TITLE !!
WIPU KOTR titles can be co-sanctioned with any other sanctioning body or promotional title and can take place anywhere in the world with any promoter if contenders meet the WIPU KOTR standards.
Beside male super title fights where fighters should be obligatory ranked, WIPU KOTR has two more atractive divissions: FEMALE & VETERANS. For those two divissions, negotiations for KOTR super titles are free at the present moment as there are still no official rankings.

Official male weight categories:

  1. Super Bantamweight – 122 pounds / 55,338 kg
  2. Lightweight – 132 pounds / 60,010 kg
  3. Super Lightweight – 140 pounds / 63.503 kg
  4. Welterweight – 147 pounds / 66,678 kg
  5. Super Welterweight – 154 pounds / 69,853 kg
  6. Middleweight – 160 pounds / 72,575 kg
  7. Super Middleweight – 166 pounds / 75,293 kg
  8. Light Heavyweight – 177 pounds / 80,282 kg
  9. Light Cruiserweight – 188 pounds / 85,271 kg
  10. Cruiserweight – 200 pounds / 90,492 kg
  11. Super Cruiserweight – 210 pounds / 95,454 kg
  12. Heavyweight – 232 pounds / 105,228 kg
  13. Super Heavyweight + 232 pounds / + 105,228 kg

Maximum tolerance for title fights could be 2 pounds / 1 kg above defined weight category.

Official female weight categories:

  1. Miniweight – 102 pounds / 46,3 kg
  2. Strawweight – 105 pounds / 47,63 kg
  3. Light Flyweight – 108 pounds / 48,988 kg
  4. Flyweight – 112 pounds / 50,802 kg
  5. Super Flyweight – 115 pounds / 52,163 kg
  6. Bantamweight – 118 pounds / 53.524 kg
  7. Super Bantamweight – 122 pounds / 55,338 kg
  8. Featherweight – 126 pounds / 57,153 kg
  9. Super Featherweight – 130 pounds / 58,967 kg
  10. Lightweight – 135 pounds / 61,235 kg
  11. Super Lightweight – 140 pounds / 63,503 kg
  12. Light Welterweight – 143 pounds / 64,86 kg
  13. Welterweight – 147 pounds / 66,678 kg
  14. Super Welterweight – 154 pounds / 69,853 kg
  15. Middleweight – 160 pounds / 72,575 kg

There will be 5 possible super title fights for WIPU KOTR belt:

  1. Under full muaythai rules :
    - there are allowed all boxing techniques including spinning back fist, all techniques with elbows including spinning back elbow, unlimited clinch with knee techniques to the legs, body and head, throws and all kicking techniques including low kicks;
    - all fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' 30'' each;
    - fighters should carry obligatory muaythai uniform and perform traditional ram muay dance before fight ( short version );
    - during the fight it is obligatory traditional ram muay music.
  2. Under shootboxing rules ( modified muaythai rules )
    - all techniques are the same as for full muaythai rules with exception that it is allowed to perform high throws and stand up strangulations.
  3. Under International muaythai (Thai boxing ) rules ( modified muaythai rules )
    - there are allowed all boxing techniques except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, only active clinch of maximum 10'' duration, throws and possible short hold of opponent's leg and imediately counter punch or kick;
    - all fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' each.
  4. Under Japanese ( K-1 ) rules ( modified muaythai rules )
    - there are allowed all boxing techniques except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, only active clinch with maximum one knee and imediate punch or kick after clinch, possible short hold of opponent's leg and imediately counter punch or kick;
    - all fights are 3x3' with automaticaly 2 extra rounds in case of draw with rest period between rounds of 1' each.
  5. Under Oriental kick rules ( modified kickboxing rules )
    - there will be allowed all boxing techniques except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, no clinch techniques, no throws and no holding opponent's leg, no foot protections and shin guards, obligatory thai boxing dress;
    - all fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' each.

In order to get a chance to fight for WIPU KOTR title, fighters and their promoters have to use one of the following rules:

  • for vacant title could fight any of ranked fighters but obligatory one should be among first 5-10 and the other can be among 10-20 ranked fighters;
  • best 20 ranked fighters can fight for or defend WIPU KOTR super world title in a single fight or thru 4 man or 8 man World Grand Prix tournaments;
  • promoter of the actual champion could do first title defence against any ranked fighter;
  • promoter of the actual champion should have for 2nd title defence opponent among first 5-10 in the rankings;
  • If actual WIPU KOTR super world Champion for certain reason is not available to defend his title on proposed date, promoter can do WIPU KOTR INTERIM SUPER WORLD TITLE in the same weight category and same fighting rules. WIPU KOTR Board of promoters will announce inside which time actual super world champion should defend his title against Interim super world champion;
  • If WIPU KOTR super world champion loose his title, he will be ranked according to his number of points acumulated till then;
  • If the champion is inactive, promoter of any ranked fighter could challenge the champion. He will have to accept if the reasonable purse has been offered according to the market value of the champion. If he refuse, title will be vacated and promoter can choose another challenger among one of the first 5-10 rated fighters; If any of those fighters is not available, promoter can choose somebody from next 5-10 ( up to 20th place );
  • Champion can hold two or more WIPU KOTR titles but in different disciplines or weights. If he wins another WIPU KOTR title in the same discipline he should announce which title he will hold;
  • If the Champion in his title defence make draw, he remain champion;
  • If title is vacant and fight finished draw, the title remain vacant;
  • If the Champion loose any prestige fight by KO in weight divission and discipline where he hold WIPU KOTR title, he will have to defend his title in shortest possible time after rest from KO or he will loose the title automaticaly;
  • If the WIPU KOTR Champion loose title fight for another organisation in the same weight category and discipline where he is the champion, he will loose title automaticaly;
  • If the Champion can't defend his title due to serious injury or illnes, he will get reasonable time extend in order to get ready for title defence and promoters will be able to do Interim super world title;
  • If the Champion can't defend his title due to criminal activities he will loose the title automaticaly.
  • Each WIPU KOTR title fight can take place anywhere in the world with any promoter who meet the WIPU KOTR standards.
  • For each WIPU KOTR title fight, there will be new hand made belt.
  • Each WIPU KOTR champion will receive WIPU KOTR belt and WIPU KOTR certificate as confirmed champion.
  • In case of any irregularities, damaged side has right to appeal imediately after the fight to WIPU supervisor and inside 7 days in written form to WIPU KOTR board of promoters in order to protect it's rights. WIPU KOTR board of promoters has the final decission in such matters.

FULL MUAYTHAI RULES

All boxing techniques are allowed including spinning back fist, all techniques with elbows including spinning back elbow, unlimited clinch with knee techniques to the legs, body and head, throws and all kicking techniques including low kicks.
All fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' 30'' each.
Fighters should carry obligatory muaythai uniform and perform traditional ram muay dance before fight ( short version ).
During the fight it is obligatory traditional ram muay music.
SHOOTBOXING RULES

All techniques are the same as for full muaythai rules with exception that it is allowed to perform high throws and stand up strangulations.
INT. MUAYTHAI RULES

All boxing techniques are allowed except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, only active clinch of maximum 10'' duration, throws and possible short hold of opponent's leg and imediately counter punch or kick.
All fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' each.
JAPANESE / K-1 RULES

All boxing techniques are allowed except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, only active clinch with maximum one knee and imediate punch or kick after clinch, possible short hold of opponent's leg and imediately counter punch or kick.
All fights are 3x3' with automaticaly 2 extra rounds in case of draw with rest period between rounds of 1' each.
ORIENTAL KICK RULES

All boxing techniques are allowed except spinning back fist as well as all kicking techniques including low kicks, no elbow techniques, no clinch techniques, no throws and no holding opponent's leg, no foot protections and shin guards, obligatory thai boxing dress.
All fights are 5x3' with rest period between rounds of 1' each.
