Saturday, 20th of september 2008. in Holland took place very strong shootboxing tournament till 70 kg as European qualifications for shootboxing World Grand Prix tournament in Japan on 24.11.2008.
Ten very good and even champions around Europe and Euroasia fought very good for two places which open the doors for partitipation in Japan.
Reserve fight
Young Belgium guy Artur Gregorian ( origins from Armenia ) trained by famous Daniela Sommers took big surprise when he beat unanimously on points much more experienced and big champion Abdellah Mabel of France.

In a very close fight where only small details prevailed in order to decide the winner, veteran Cris Van Venrooy of Holland won unanimous point decission over Goran Borovic of Croatia.
Real war was in a fight between two big muaythai champions, Dzabar Askerov ( RUS ) and Rudolf Durica ( SLK ). At the end, Askerov won on points thanks to more agressivenes and clear punches and kicks.
Luis Reis of Portugal as a master of clinching was little bit more concrete then agressive Joakim Karlsson of Sweden and took the win on points.
Very technicaly and nice fight took between Dennis Schneidmiller of Germany and French representative Mongouchi. At the end, thanks to more agressive fight the winner on points was announced Schneidmiller.

The biggest tragic figuer of all tournament was Dutch champion Cris Van Venrooy who after very close first fight did the best fight of the evening and for all present won in all aspects of the game but the judges were thinking differently and they gave 2:1 victory to Dzabar Askerov who qualified for the finals.
In very anoying fight where Luis Reis was doing everything in order to block agressive attacks from Schneidmiller, unanious point decission at the end went to Dennis Schneidmiller.
FINALS
Another great fight of the evening where decission was also very close and where maybe Askerov was little bit closer for win but judges gave the victory to German representative Dennis Schneidmiller who will partitipate in a final world grand prix in Japan and cross the gloves with such super stars as Andy Souwer and others. Dzabar Askerov will partitipate as well but in a reserve fight for World grand prix.
