NEWS: Stjepan Bozic defeated by TKO
[23-11-09] Croatian super middleweight boxer Stjepan Bozic, third challenger on WBA list, fought at the König-Pilsener-ARENA in Oberhausen for the world boxing title against Kazakstan fighter with German passport, the other challenger Dmitry Sartison.
In a clash for the vacant WBA super middleweight world championship Stjepan was defeated by TKO in 5th round when the referee had to stop the fight on the advice of the ring doctor because the left eye of Bozic was swollen shut.
After several months of preparation and announcement of the organizers, the Slovak and Czech fans were finally given the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable evening with top fights in the ring, and a great atmosphere in the Bobycentrum hotel in Brno (CZE). KOTR super champion Goran Borovic (CRO) proved once more that is in great shape and ready for big fights against world elite. This time victim was Hungarian fighter Sandor Pap who couldn't resiste to strong low kicks of Borovic under shootboxing rules. The fight took place in Opatija, Croatia on 12th february 2010. Next big fight of Borovic is planned for 20.03.2010 in Milano (ITA).
